What we do
SD Tow Directory is an independent local services directory covering San Diego County, California. We list towing companies, roadside-assistance providers, auto-repair shops, body shops, and locksmiths in every major community from Oceanside down to San Ysidro and from Coronado out to Alpine. Each listing is researched, organized into categories, and tagged to the cities the business actually serves.
How we select listings
Our editorial team builds listings from a combination of public business records, search engine results, and direct outreach. For each business, we attempt to verify a working phone number, a service area, the categories of work they perform, and any publicly available customer feedback. Verified listings receive a Verified tag. Businesses that meet our additional criteria for response time and transparency, and that have applied for placement, may be marked as Featured and appear at the top of relevant category pages.
Editorial independence
We are not owned by any service provider listed on this site. We do not write reviews for the businesses we list, and we do not solicit or accept payment to remove competitors from search results. Featured placements are explained on our Submit Your Business page. We update the directory regularly and remove listings for businesses that close or stop responding to verification attempts.
Why a local directory matters
San Diego County is one of the largest metro areas in the western United States, and consumers often have trouble distinguishing real local providers from national lead-aggregators that funnel calls to whoever bids the most. Our directory exists to make it easier to find an actual local business, with a real phone number, that actually services the area you're in.
